Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Polytechnic College, Yanam, successfully organized the First Year Inauguration Function for the Academic Year 2026–2027 in the college premises.
The programme was graced by Shri K. Varadarajan, Superintendent of Police, Yanam, as the Chief Guest, along with Shri M. Coumar, Sub-Inspector of Police, Yanam, as the Guest of Honour.
During their inspiring interaction with the newly admitted students, the dignitaries emphasized the importance of discipline, responsibility, moral values, and dedication towards academic excellence. They also created awareness on drug abuse and illicit trafficking, encouraging students to stay away from harmful substances, make responsible choices, and actively contribute to building a safe and healthy society.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. T. A. Balaraju Swamy, Principal, who welcomed the newly admitted students and their parents. He highlighted the college’s commitment to providing quality technical education, skill development, personality enhancement, and value-based learning.
The programme was coordinated by Sri V. V. L. P. Raju, Head of First Year, who explained the objectives of the student induction programme and introduced the academic environment of the institution.
The Heads of all Departments also addressed the gathering, motivating the students to utilize the opportunities available in the college and excel in both academics and extracurricular activities.
As per the guidelines of the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Chennai, the newly admitted students will undergo a one-week Student Induction Programme commencing from Friday. The programme is designed to familiarize students with the institution, curriculum, ethics, professional values, and overall personality development.
The induction programme will be coordinated and monitored by Sri Kanakala Tatarao, NSS Programme Officer.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, marking a memorable beginning to the academic journey of the first-year students.
